Environmental Committee

The Environmental Committee provides leadership on a broad range of environmental issues that affect the production of almonds in California.  The Committee is coordinated by Gabriele Ludwig, Associate Director, Environmental Affairs, and consists of seven members and seven alternates. The committee funds research projects that develop data relevant to the regulatory process and examine methods that reduce the impact of almond growing on the environment.

Environmental Mission Statement

Our Committee will develop and promote almond production practices that are based on sound scientific research, common sense and a respect for the environment, resulting in a plentiful, healthy and safe food product available at a reasonable price.
