The Environmental Committee (EC) (Template 2.4.1.1) since 2001 has provided leadership on environmental issues affecting California almond production.
The Environmental Committee is dedicated to keeping growers, handlers, government regulatory officials, media and members of the public informed about its commitment to environmental stewardship. Articles appear in the Board's publication 'California Almonds', and through a periodic electronic newsletter. (Click here to sign up)
Every year, the committee
hosts an orchard tour for regulatory officials and the media to highlight the
many on-farm environmentally friendly
practices

The Almond Board has been recognized for its environmental leadership by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with a Champion for Pesticide Environmental Stewardship award
